New Phytologist, a long time supporter of ICOM and the IMS, is an international journal publishing outstanding original research in plant science and its applications.

More

Research falls into five sections: Physiology & Development, Environment, Interaction, Evolution, and Transformative Plant Biotechnology. Topics covered range from intracellular processes through to global environmental change. New Phytologist is owned by the New Phytologist Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of plant science.

The Journal of Sustainable Agriculture and Environment is a fully open access journal that will be hosting a special ICOM2026 issue.

More

This special issue will encourage submissions on mechanistic understanding, sustainable approaches, and emerging tools to fill current gaps in knowledge. They particularly welcome glasshouse and field experiments which have been set up to understand mechanisms of interactions between plant and soils that increase productivity and reduce environmental impacts. In partnership with this, the Global Initiative of Sustainable Agriculture and Environment promotes development and implementation of innovative farming and farm management practices based on system approaches that harness natural resources (through utilisation of crop and soil microbiomes) to sustainably increase farm productivity, food quality and environmental health.

The Society for the Protection of Underground Networks (SPUN) has a mission to map, protect, and harness the mycorrhizal networks that regulate the Earth’s climate and ecosystems.

More

They advocate for the protection of underground ecosystems, and drive innovation in underground climate and biodiversity science. For more information about their programs, grants, and work, please see their website at https://www.spun.earth/
