Welcome Mixer
at Hemingway’s Brewery
Join us, Sunday, 12 July 2026 at 6:00 pm, for a Welcome Mixer at Hemingway’s Brewery, located right across the street from the Cairns Convention Centre.

The ICOM2026 local organising committee and the Early Career Research Day committee would like to invite you to join us for a Welcome Mixer at Hemingway’s Brewery Cairns Wharf. This heritage-listed waterfront venue offers spectacular views over the Trinity Inlet and is conveniently located within walking distance of the Cairns Convention Centre and CBD hotels.
The cost of this extra ticketed event (see costing below) will cover an evening of food and friendship set in a beautifully heritage-restored building featuring rustic timber finishes, soaring ceilings, and signature barn doors that open to welcome in sea breezes. And remember, this is a family-friendly event, so please bring your partner and children to enjoy the evening with you.
Fancy something more? Guests can also take advantage of the cash bar on premises to enjoy award-winning beers brewed fresh on site. Delegates can also pre-order a guided craft beer tasting experience to learn more about this local small business.
Tickets for this event will need to be purchased by June 30th, 2026. Please see pricing below.

Note from Hemingway’s regarding Dietary Requirements:
In terms of dietary requirements, Hemingway’s is able to cater for most needs, including allergies and intolerances such as gluten-free (coeliac), nut allergies, and legume intolerance. All of their meats are halal certified, with the exception of pork products.
While Hemingway’s does offer gluten-free options, as it is a working brewery, it is important to note that there may be gluten particles present in the air due to the nature of the venue. This is particularly relevant for coeliac guests, especially given that the brewery operates as an open working plant.
Whilst their chefs take great care to minimise any risk of cross-contamination, please be aware that allergens and other ingredients are handled in the kitchen. They cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.
